  Prestwick North Educational Campus
Prestwick North Educational Campus was handed over in Summer 2022. Designed by BDP Architects this new state-of-the-art campus consists of 22 classrooms and multi-purpose rooms spread over two storeys, with an Early Years Centre and nursery facilities. The new campus boosts a range of green credentials - it runs purely on electric power with roof solar panels and air source heat pumps. This has all resulted in energy consumption reducing by 61% compared to previous school buildings. This inspiring education building provides functional, flexible and future-proofed facilities for the local community.
Gaynor Hartley, head teacher of Glenburn Primary said: “The design and construction team, led by hub South West have delivered something exceptional
with this new campus. For myself, staff and pupils, the process of moving into a new campus has been an overall very positive experience from start to finish. The team gave regular updates and worked closely together to ensure that the safety of the children was a priority and that communication with parents/carers was also ensured. Our staff and pupils absolutely love the building and grounds – it really is an amazing learning environment!”
Jacqueline McPeake, head teacher of St Ninian’s said: “We are truly lucky to have this amazing facility and our pupils tell you how much they love their new campus. We have retained our school traditions and values, but there are numerous opportunities for us to work and learn together. Throughout, the whole team, led by hub South West, listened attentively
to our views and the opinions of parents and pupils, and we were extremely grateful for this level of consultation.”

Scott Smith, Head Teacher of Newmains Primary said: “The new building has so much to offer our children, from state-of-the-art flexible learning spaces to modern dining and PE facilities. There has always been a strong sense of pride in our school and our positive links with the wider Newmains community. I’m sure that this will grow further as our families and local groups also begin to enjoy the benefits of the site. We can’t wait to get in to learn, grow and have fun together in our new space.”
